Safety

Covers research in the science and technology of human safety. It covers a wide variety of fields from safety of people at work to other spheres, such as transport, leisure and home. Safety is treated by our team on the basis of multidisciplinarity. Apart from the engineering perspective, the managerial, organisational, legal, psychological, and social perspectives are treated accordingly in order to cover all the main aspects in an effective way.  Inspection, insurance, costing aspects, human behaviour and other areas are covered by our expert team.

 

Risk assessment

Broadly speaking, a risk assessment is the combined effort of:

  1. identifying and analyzing potential (future) events that may negatively impact individuals, assets, and/or the environment (i.e. risk analysis); and
  2. making judgments "on the tolerability of the risk on the basis of a risk analysis" while considering influencing factors (i.e. risk evaluation).

Risk assessment may be considered as a key process for the development of safety culture. We hold significant experience in conducting a wide range of risk assessment. Soem of the areas covered are:
